As a rapidly growing company, Uber sought to establish a workspace that would not only support its evolving business needs but also foster collaboration across its teams. The primary objective was to design an environment tailored for productivity and innovation—a dynamic space where employees could seamlessly connect and work together toward achieving shared goals.
CMTA provided MEP engineering design services for the new headquarters, collaborating closely with Uber and IA Interior Architects and JT Magen Construction to deliver solutions that aligned with both operational requirements and workplace comfort. The engineering approach focused on flexibility, efficiency, and occupant well-being, integrating systems that support a modern, technology-driven workplace.
The headquarters is designed to encourage interaction, with open floor plans and amenity spaces that adapt to a range of team activities. Features such as a central staircase promote movement and informal connection, reinforcing a sense of unity among employees. Thoughtful interior elements and wayfinding details echo urban movement and progress, offering subtle reminders of Uber’s core identity as a connector.
The completed headquarters reflects a dedication to innovation, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. With a focus on integrated solutions, CMTA delivered an environment designed for long-term success—a hub where Uber’s teams can engage and create.
