A New Headquarters for Seamless Collaboration
Consulting Engineering
During the renovation of Subway’s original headquarters in Shelton, Connecticut, the company simultaneously established a second (dual) headquarters in Miami, Florida, which marked a significant milestone in the brand’s transformation and ongoing commitment to culinary innovation.
Spanning 65,000 square feet across two and a half floors, the new Miami headquarters was designed with to support continued food exploration, product development, and collaboration. At the core of the new space are Subway’s first-ever Innovation Center and a Mock Subway Restaurant. The Innovation Center serves as a dedicated think tank where culinary teams research emerging food trends and develop new menu concepts, while the Mock Restaurant provides a realistic environment for testing products in a live-store setting.
The architectural design seamlessly integrates the Subway brand experience throughout its training rooms, collaboration spaces, fitness center, executive offices, cafeteria, employee pantries, and other amenity areas.
Partnering with HLW and VVA, we provided MEPS engineering services for both the Shelton and Miami headquarters, resulting in two high-performance offices, with enhanced operational efficiency to meet the evolving needs of Subway’s daily operations and long-term growth strategy.
