Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility

Confidential Advanced Technology CorporationMultiple Locations

CMTA provided MEP engineering at various locations for a global semi-conductor manufacturing company. These secure and unsecure spaces house experts responsible for research, development, production and testing of leading-edge semi-conductor technology for the U.S. Government. The facilities feature manufacturing cleanrooms, masking operations, test and assembly cleanrooms, data centers, secure workplaces, and support spaces at multiple locations to support design, manufacturing, testing, and repair activities.

Prioritizing resiliency, these projects incorporate mechanical and electrical infrastructure to minimum Tier 3 level redundancy, while maximizing overall energy and operational efficiency.  The large-scale manufacturing, test, and assembly cleanroom requirements varied from Class 100k to Class 1, deploying multiple redundant sources of airflow recirculation.  Additionally, the projects were highlighted by an integrated collaboration between the design and construction teams to prefabricate major lateral support structures to consolidate sub-fab and interstitial level utility "super highways”—a process that saved the Client both added costs and months of overall schedule to deployment.
