CMTA was engaged to optimize and consolidate space planning for approximately 20,000 SF of specialized labs and cleanrooms compliant with ISO-7 and ISO-8 standards. The project’s primary objective was to integrate diverse research functions within a single facility while maintaining operational continuity. Through a detailed analysis of workflows, equipment placement, and spatial adjacencies, our team developed a phased implementation plan that minimized disruptions, improved accessibility, and streamlined the movement of personnel, materials, and equipment.

A key priority was the reconfiguration of critical pathways and support spaces to enhance collaboration and ensure the safe, efficient transfer of sensitive materials. To meet the stringent operational and regulatory standards, CMTA implemented advanced environmental controls and a flexible, high-performance facility layout. Stakeholder collaboration was essential in meeting the rigorous requirements for cleanroom classification, air quality, and safety systems.

Additionally, CMTA served as electrical engineering lead for the development of a new mobile cleanroom for this multinational manufacturing client. This effort included designing a robust electrical distribution system that seamlessly integrated with existing infrastructure, supporting advanced lab equipment and environmental controls. The project demanded precise coordination with telecom providers and thoughtful solutions for sensitive elements such as nitrogen holding tanks, ensuring system reliability, personnel safety, and full regulatory compliance in a world-class R&D setting.
