A former manufacturing facility has been transformed into a state-of-the-art broadcast and production campus for NBC Sports Group. The project involved the complete renovation of two buildings, creating a cutting-edge hub that houses broadcast, technical, and TV production spaces, as well as administrative and support offices. Working with Gensler, Mancini Duffy, and Pavarini North East, CMTA provided MEP engineering, IT, security, and acoustic design services, along with commissioning, to bring this adaptive reuse project to life.

The project included the design of six studios, over 50 editing bays, 50 graphics suites, control rooms, green rooms, dressing rooms, screening rooms, tape centers, server rooms, and critical redundant infrastructure for the studios. The administrative building features conference rooms, meeting spaces, work areas, a centrally located commissary, and both indoor and outdoor event spaces, along with a 400+ car parking deck.

This ENERGY STAR-certified building utilizes an integrated technology system to reduce energy use. CMTA’s lighting design, comprised of nearly 100% LED fixtures, is fully automated to optimize energy efficiency. This transformation showcases cutting-edge adaptive reuse and sustainable design principles, resulting in a state-of-the-art broadcast and production facility that seamlessly blends functionality, sustainability, and advanced technology.
