This project for the Kentucky Community & Technical College System was a Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract for Hopkinsville Community College. 7 buildings on the main campus were included in the project scope. This project was 100% funded through energy and operational savings.
Project highlights include the installation of three boilers and one AHU, large-scale upgrade of controls, extensive lighting efficiency upgrades, and utility rate savings.
- One existing boiler in the Library was demolished and two natural gas condensing boilers were installed
- One existing boiler in the Administration Building was demolished and a new boiler was installed, as well as a new AHU, hydronic piping, and variable frequency drives
- New JACE-8000s (Java Application Control Engines) were installed in the Administration Building, Library, and Auditorium, implementing optimized scheduling, night setbacks, and zone humidity control
- Interior and exterior lights were replaced with LED lighting across 7 buildings
