Andreessen Horowitz (a16z)

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) relocated its headquarters to 200 Lafayette Street, transforming the space into a modern creative office while honoring the building’s original architectural character. CMTA provided acoustic engineering for this historic renovation project, ensuring the project delivers optimal functionality and flexibility.

Known for its cast-iron columns, steel beams, and original wood flooring, the building now showcases a thoughtfully redesigned interior. The design features a double-height assembly area, complete with suspension bridges and a floating staircase that links the two levels. The renovation preserves the building’s architectural character while introducing a contemporary workspace that includes a spacious boardroom, multiple meeting rooms, private offices, collaborative areas, gathering spaces, and a full-sized bar with lounge seating.
