University of Kentucky Campus Security

University of KentuckyLexington, Kentucky

The University of Kentucky has set the benchmark in campus security. CMTA Technology Solutions has been a partner in the expansion and upgrade of this award-winning, state-of-the-art security system that is regarded as a national model. The University of Kentucky has invested millions of dollars in replacing and upgrading legacy security systems to create an integrated, campus-wide solution. CMTA has been a partner as the project has continued to expand and encompass nearly ten thousand access-controlled doors, four thousand analytic cameras, campus-wide emergency phone towers, and early warning systems. It is one of the largest college security systems in the country.

In recent years, colleges and universities across the nation have experienced an increased demand from students, faculty, and staff for enhanced security in and around campus properties. CMTA assisted in delivering campus security and hardware standards and procedures to ensure consistency.

What CMTA and our technology team has done is design a campus lockdown procedure... if the need arises to lock down the campus, it can be done in sections or all buildings with access control.
