This season, we celebrate the strides we’ve taken together to strengthen our national presence and capabilities.
In September 2025, CMTA as part of Legence, our parent company became publicly listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “LGN.” CMTA is proud to lead engineering and performance contracting services for the Legence family of companies. Together, Legence is leading engineering, consulting, installation, and maintenance in the built environment with a focus on mission-critical facilities that support industry and our communities. A trusted partner, 60% of Nasdaq-100 companies partner with Legence for their high-performance building needs.
As part of our growth, significant leadership transitions marked a pivotal step toward positioning us for future success. We are proud to congratulate our former president, Jimmy Benson, as he steps up into his new role as Senior Vice President of Legence, leading the Engineering + Consulting division, which includes over 1,800 people made up by CMTA, ICS, P2S, SC Engineers, Black Bear Energy, and RE Tech Advisors. We are also excited for CMTA Vice President Jeremy Smith, who will spearhead Legence’s Program + Project Management service line. Finally, we congratulate Kevin Mussler, as he becomes President of CMTA after more than 30 years dedicated to the company. These leadership changes reflect our commitment to cultivating strong internal talent and ensuring long-term strategic growth.
Another significant achievement of 2025 has been the completion of our merger with AMA Group. This strategic integration expands our capabilities by bringing new expertise in acoustic, lighting, immersive audio-visual design services while also extending our reach with offices in New York City, Madison, NJ, Los Angeles, CA, and Miami, FL. By strengthening our national footprint and enabling us to serve new industries like broadcast media and corporate workplace, this merger allows us to deliver unmatched value to our clients nationwide.
Similarly, in August 2025, ICS Mid-Atlantic joined forces with CMTA's Media, PA office. This integration of Legence companies solidifies our ability to support the entire project life cycle—from initial funding and design to construction and operation—by combining ICS’s program management expertise and regional experience with CMTA’s industry-leading proficiency in high-performance building design and innovative project delivery. The PA-based CMTA team has successfully delivered projects and energy reduction for local clients including Mohegan Sun Arena, and the Abbington and Hazleton School Districts.
Adding to this year’s growth, we welcomed Arizona Pinnacle Engineering (AZPE) into the CMTA family, marking our official expansion into the fast-growing Phoenix market. This move enhances our ability to serve the Southwest region and underlines our commitment to providing innovative, sustainable solutions nationwide.
CMTA’s growth in 2025 is a testament to the incredible dedication and expertise of our team members, industry partners, and clients. Together, we’ve created high-performance spaces that optimize building systems, prioritize occupant health and wellness, and reduce environmental impacts.
