Manchester School District's Buckley Elementary in Manchester, Connecticut is the state's first net zero school. CMTA partnered with architect TSKP Studio to design the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for the energy efficient renovation project including the school's own renewable energy solution.
This facility provides the district with a sustainable, energy efficient, innovative learning environment and will save substantial amounts of money in operating costs. This high performance building will exceed code minimum requirements and will supply outside air directly from the dedicated outside air unit to the individual spaces to maximize effectiveness.
