CMTA Strengthens Southeast Presence with Atlanta Expansion

March 12, 2026

CMTA is proud to announce the opening of our new Atlanta office, enhancing our capacity to deliver innovative engineering solutions throughout the Southeast. Atlanta’s economic strength, cultural influence, and prominence in the technology sector make it an ideal location for CMTA to expand our presence and deepen our relationships with clients, architects, and industry partners across the region. As one of the fastest-growing economies in the country, Atlanta serves a strategic hub for innovation, infrastructure investment, and large-scale development – areas where CMTA’s expertise in high-performance building engineering delivers measurable value.

The new office enables our team to collaborate face-to-face with clients, tackle complex project challenges, and extend our expertise across key regional markets. By strategically linking our Atlanta office with our established team in Chattanooga, CMTA can combine local presence with the strength of our broader regional resources – allow us to deliver seamless solutions and responsive support for projects across the Southeast.

With a strong presence in the region, CMTA is positioned to support a rapidly growing markets including healthcare, higher education, advanced manufacturing, and data centers – industries where high-performance engineering and sustainable infrastructure are increasingly critical.

One example of CMTA’s work in Georgia is a recently awarded performance contracting project with the University of Georgia. This project reflects the type of large-scale infrastructure and energy initiatives our team is positioned to support as we expand our presence in the region. The UGA project represents CMTA’s first performance contracting engagement in the state and the largest facility owner our team has partnered with to date.

Encompassing over 500 buildings spread across 23 million square feet, and involving $30 million in annual gas, water, and electricity spend, UGA is one of the largest public facility owners in the state of Georgia. Our partnership represents one of the most ambitious—and influential—initiatives in our firm’s history. The scope of the project highlights CMTA’s ability to design, implement, and manage turnkey solutions that deliver both immediate and enduring value.

The opening of CMTA’s Atlanta office represents an important step in expanding our presence across the Southeast. In collaboration with our teams in Chattanooga, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Columbia, the Atlanta office strengthens our ability to serve clients throughout the region while delivering the solutions CMTA is known for.
