Driven by Data, Proven by Results
“The map appears to us more real than the land.” – D.H. Lawrence
“All models are wrong but some are useful” – George Box
"You cannot manage what you do not measure.”
– W. Edwards Deming
The map is not the territory. While we would hold the accuracy of our energy models against any others, our success is measured using real data, collected over time and proven in real-world applications. Models may set an expectation but they cannot provide proof. Metrics like Energy Use Intensity, Water Use Intensity, Construction & Operational Costs and Occupant Satisfaction provide us with the evidence we need to evaluate our success and improve our designs.
