This project was a Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract for Rockcastle County Schools, located in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. The project scope included thorough HVAC renovations and upgrades.
Scope components included:
- HVAC renovations for Mount Vernon Elementary School that include replacement of water source heat pumps, installation of new rooftop energy recovery units, and replacement of closed circuit fluid cooler
- HVAC controls systems upgrades for Mount Vernon Elementary School that include full DDC system upgrade, with implementation of equipment schedules, optimal start logic, and demand limiting controls sequences
- HVAC controls retro-commissioning for Rockcastle County High School, ensuring that the exisiting building, equipment, and systems achieve their maximum possible performance
- Indoor Air Quality upgrades, installing bipolar ionization devices in all HVAC units throughout the district
- LED lighting upgrades, both interior and exterior, for all schools and major school facilities as necessary
- Installation of 98.8 kW solar array at Rockcastle County High School
