Established in 1993, the Christian Music Trade Association is a non-profit organization that exists
to build community and cooperation among Christian & Gospel music industry leadership in order to address mutual issues and
to maximize Christian/Gospel music's impact on culture. The CMTA supports and promotes all styles of gospel music including pop,
black gospel, hip hop, rock, country, southern gospel and more.
The CMTA's Board of Directors is comprised of high level executives from all four major record companies including EMI
(EMI Christian Music Group), Warner Music Group (Word Entertainment), Sony Music (Provident Music Group), and Universal Music
Group (Universal Christian), as well as Fair Trade Services, Gaither Music Group, E1 Music, Integrity Music, Verity Gospel Music Group
and other labels who in total represent over 95% of all Christian/Gospel music sold.
